Idram continues to strengthen its leading position in Armenia’s financial sector. By the decision of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia, “Idram” LLC has been granted a permit to create and operate the national payment and settlement QR system “IdramNet.

This means that IdramNet is a QR payment system authorized to accept QR payments from customers of the system’s participating and partner organizations in Armenia.

According to Idram Director Arsene Kdenian, the Central Bank’s authorization allows Idram to expand the adoption of QR payments as an Armenian payment system through a more regulated, transparent, and reliable framework for current and future partners.

“This marks not only a new chapter in Idram’s development, but also an important step forward for Armenia’s entire financial ecosystem,” noted Kdenian. “IdramNet sets clear standards for QR payments, ensuring that both partners and participants within the Idram QR network receive regulated and secure services. Moreover, these participants may include both members of Armenia’s financial system and international partners, for whom Idram will ensure interoperability with other systems on the market. We believe IdramNet will become a reliable and indispensable payment infrastructure for Armenian residents and businesses, setting new standards in the payments industry.”

IdramNet will be a payment and settlement system designed to enable financial transactions to be carried out securely and efficiently, in line with modern standards.

The new system aims to:

  • provide an integrated and reliable infrastructure for payment instruments in Armenia’s domestic market,
  • support the development of the digital economy,
  • expand opportunities for both businesses and users,
  • enhance the efficiency and competitiveness of the financial system,
  • and continue introducing and developing innovative digital products within Armenia’s financial sector.

Let us recall that in recent months, Idram has established partnerships with major companies Alipay+ and ByBit, and just days ago announced an upcoming strategic collaboration with WeChat.
