The Netherlands will send 300 million euros to support the restoration of Ukraine in 2025 and 2026.

This was announced by the country’s Foreign Minister Caspar Veldkamp during the Conference on Ukraine’s restoration, held in Rome.

According to Bloomberg, within the framework of this package, 52 million euros will be allocated in 2025 to restore energy infrastructure and water supply systems. Another 30 million euros are provided to support Dutch companies and organizations involved in sustainable development and restoration projects in Ukraine. It is noted that these funds are part of a broader aid package – about 500 million euros previously allocated by the Netherlands for non-military support for Ukraine.

“Ukraine’s economy and society must stay afloat, because this helps the country in its fight. In fact, this is a front after a front,” Veldkamp noted.

On June 30, Ukraine received about $1.7 billion (CAD 2.3 billion) from Canada under the ERA initiative. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, these funds were provided by the proceeds of frozen Russian assets.

On July 10, the European Union transferred €1 billion to Ukraine from the proceeds of frozen Russian assets.
