Zuckerberg thrown out of the Oval Office

Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg was asked to leave the Oval Office at the White House during a closed meeting, NBC reports.

The US presidential administration denies this.

According to the channel’s sources, military officials met with US President Donald Trump to discuss the new F-47 stealth fighter. However, at some point, Zuckerberg unexpectedly entered the office. Due to concerns that he did not have access to classified information, officials asked the businessman to wait outside.

It is alleged that during the meeting, a young aide also entered the office, showed the president something on her laptop, and left. NBC writes that the service members “expected more privacy in the meeting with the commander in chief,” and some of them left the meeting “confused and a little nervous,” with one of them wondering whether they should be worried about the possibility of information leaks.

An unnamed senior White House official told the New York Post that Mark Zuckerberg was not kicked out of the Oval Office. “He was not asked to leave. He dropped by to say hello at the president’s request, and then he went off to wait for his meeting… which was supposed to take place after,” the official assured.

In March, Donald Trump commissioned Boeing to develop the F-47 sixth-generation stealth fighter as part of the NGAD (Next-Generation Air Dominance) program. However, the media wrote that the aircraft project could be left without a budget due to its high cost: it was initially estimated at $350 million.
