As the agency notes, this is the lowest rating for the American leader since the start of his second term. Trump has repeatedly stated that he does not believe polls showing a decline in his popularity.
Against this backdrop, a White House spokesman told Axios that Trump’s current goal is to end the Iran-Israel war, and he plans to make this message clear to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“We want an agreement and we don’t want more war,” the official said.
