Tesla Sales Plunge in Europe

Sales of Tesla electric vehicles fell sharply in some European markets in April, Reuters reports.

This is said to be an acceleration of a trend of falling demand for these cars, as Europeans prefer Chinese electric vehicles or protest against Musk’s political views.

In particular, sales of new Tesla cars in Sweden fell by 80.7% in April, according to national data published on Friday, a day after Denmark recorded a 67.2% drop in Tesla sales, and in France – by 59.4%, which is the fourth consecutive month of sales decline.

As the publication emphasizes, in Sweden this is the lowest figure since October 2022, when 43 new Tesla cars were registered, according to Mobility Sweden data.

In March, sales of new Tesla cars in Europe fell by 28.2% compared to the same month last year, although overall sales of electric vehicles (battery-powered) in the region grew by 23.6%.
