US sanctions against the Russian tanker fleet are starting to lose their effectiveness, Bloomberg reports.

According to the agency, a number of ships that were previously blacklisted have begun loading cargo and left Russian ports. This happened for the first time in more than a year, which indicates that the sanctions regime is crumbling.

Satellite images show that more and more ships are leaving their berths near the port of Nakhodka, where they have been since the restrictions were introduced. According to preliminary data, these tankers are heading towards China.
