Five billionaires who attended the inauguration of US President Donald Trump have lost a total of $209 billion since his official inauguration, Bloomberg reports.
According to the agency, the list of people whose incomes have noticeably decreased since the inauguration includes Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Sergey Brin and Bernard Arnault.
The publication says that Musk has fallen the most, having become poorer by $148 billion. At the same time, Tesla’s sales in Germany have fallen by more than 70%, and Chinese deliveries have decreased by 50%. Another well-known businessman and founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, has lost $29 billion; since January 17, his company’s shares have fallen by 14%.
One of the founders of Google, Sergey Brin, has lost $22 billion since Trump’s inauguration. In addition, Meta co-founder and CEO Zuckerberg and LVMH CEO Arnault saw significant changes in their incomes, losing $5 billion each.
Previously, Forbes magazine wrote that American billionaire Elon Musk’s fortune had decreased by $116 billion since December 2024 due to the stock market crash. According to the publication’s real-time data, on March 4, the fortune of the SpaceX founder and Tesla CEO decreased by another $7.1 billion, to $347.7 billion.
