At a press conference on September 23, Idram announced the launch of its own QR infrastructure. On the same day, it was reported that Evocabank became the first bank to join the Open QR system. Now, Evocabank customers can scan Idram QR codes, installed at more than 22,000 retail locations, and make payments using the EvocaTOUCH app.

“Evoca is the first bank to join the Open QR project. From now on, our clients can make payments at all Idram locations by simply scanning the Idram QR code in the QR section of their EvocaTOUCH app. This partnership proves that our clients and their convenience are our top priority,” said Tatevik Khachatryan, Deputy Chair of the Board at Evocabank.

Arsen Kdenyan, CEO of Idram, emphasized that this is a significant event for Armenia’s financial market, as customers of all financial institutions that join the infrastructure will be able to scan Idram’s QR code using their financial applications and pay at more than 22,000 retail points.

“This integration is a milestone in expanding QR payment solutions,” said Arsen Kdenyan, the CEO of Idram.

A memorandum of cooperation has been signed between Evocabank and Idram, and the system is already available to Evocabank clients. Idram reports that it has taken care not only of establishing infrastructure for financial partner organizations and ensuring the system’s appropriate capacity but also of creating a dedicated service for seamless operation with both banks and payment companies, as well as with more than 22,000 partner retail locations. By opening its infrastructure, the company has once again reaffirmed its concept: Idram – for everyone.
